Manhattan Apartment This home is located at 15 Central Park West, the limestone-clad luxury residential building designed by architect, Robert A.M. Stern. The most exciting element in this system is a motorized wall in the Living Room. At the touch of a button, the massive wooden panel glides silently to the side, revealing a 70" TV with multi-channel sound. Throughout the apartment, wall-mounted and wireless touchpanels control the music, lights, shades, temperature and TV. Included is an alarm clock feature, so the owners can wake up to any radio station, iPod track, or TV channel.

Manhattan Townhouse

The owners of this home truly benefited from smart technology, due to the vertical nature of NY townhouses. When leaving the home, they only press one button near the front or service entrance. This button turns off all the lights, lowers all the shades, turns off the music and TVs, shuts down the air-conditioning, and arms the alarm system. Imagine having to walk 6 flights of stairs and into every room to achieve what that one button does. In addition to the tremendous convenience, the energy savings from shutting down all these power draining systems is significant, not to mention environmentally responsible.

Nashville Mansion

This historical house is located in the Belle Meade section of Nashville, TN. The original 19th century structure was rebuilt into a larger, more elaborate home with modern amenities, yet maintaining the character of the original. The home entertainment and control system was state-of-the-art. Through careful collarboration with architect G.P. Schafer, many of the devices were concealed from view, yet conveniently positioned for use. The gorgeous lighting throughout the home is enhanced by a control system, which allows various lighting scenes to be activated by the push of a button.

Kenya Estate

This installation was done on a 60,000 acre private game reserve outside Nairobi, Kenya. Our challenge was to design and install music and video systems in the main house, various buildings, and outdoor areas. Due to the very demanding aesthetic requirements of the owner, custom-made speakers were built into soffits, completely hidden from view. One of the residences on the property was built into a mountain, with walls made of an artificial rock-like substance. The installation was quite challenging since all our parts and materials had to be flown in via Nairobi. If we needed a piece of wire or a connector, there was no hardware store or Radio Shack to run to. Just Maasai villagers with their huts, surrounded by lions, zebra, gazelles and elephants. After doing this project, we can install a system anywhere.
